Animal track identifiers and recycled bags at Sherman School

In October, the SWCD staff spent a day with grades K-5 and their Specials teacher, Teresa Nelson.  After several days of animal and track lessons with Mrs. Nelson, the students were ready to make their very own track identifier with us. They used their identifiers to find out which animals made the tracks on the classroom walls. Outdoors, these trackers can be used to identify tracks on the ground. The third grade class reviewed the importance of recycling. They stenciled animals pictures on recycled canvas bags.  At the end of each class period, the students participated in a Q & A  about animals. Thank you to the Sherman County Education Foundation for providing the funds for this project.
