Owl Pellets Activities Grades 4 & 5

The SWCD presented an owl pellet dissecting activity to Sherman 4th and 5th graders in February during Specials classes. The students were able to identify bones from shrews, moles, and mice. Thank you to Mrs. Nelson (Specials teacher), Theron Taylor (NRCS), Cathy M., and high school senior Bailey Coelsch for helping the students with this activity. These lessons are part of our Conservation Awareness Program (CAP), funded by Oregon Community Grants and the Roundhouse Foundation.
